Wild Chickens of Ybor

It was supposed to be a few images, then I’d move on. Especially since I’m not usually a “wildlife photographer”. But something about these Jurassic Birds is just so compelling. Every face is a story. A document of struggle, strife, and survival.

They have almost “human” expressions and a bit of a curiosity. They are part of the Ybor City culture and here is where I capture the portraits of these animals’ souls.

This has now become an ongoing photographic series that I hope better connects us with these creatures.
